ArcEdge Power is the U.S. representative and distributor for Over Easy Solar. We supply the system and support your roofer or solar installer with layout, wind load data and training.

How It Works

Each Over Easy unit arrives pre-assembled: vertical two-sided solar panels, mounting frame and cabling in one piece. Units are set on support feet that rest on the roof surface. There are no fasteners and no roof penetrations, and most projects need no ballast. Both faces of each panel generate power, from direct sun and from light reflected off the roof.

Step 01

Lay out the feet

Support feet are placed on the roof surface to the project layout.

Step 02

Set the units in place

Pre-assembled units drop onto the feet. No fasteners, no penetrations.

Step 03

Connect the rows

Rows are cabled together, with the electrical connection made by a licensed electrician.

Best For

Green roofs

Plants keep growing between and beneath the rows, and the system can be added to an existing green roof.

Roofs with weight limits

About 12.2 kg/m2 (about 2.5 lb/sq ft).

Light-colored, reflective roofs

Reflected light raises output.

Crowded roofs

Vertical rows work around rooftop equipment and leave the membrane accessible for inspection and repair.

When it produces

Vertical east-west rows produce two daily peaks, morning and late afternoon, instead of one at midday. Snow and dust slide off vertical glass.

Over Easy Solar reports 54% more energy per installed kWp than a conventional reference system in Tromso, Norway, and 27% more in Oslo. In Alicante, Spain, the conventional south-facing reference produced more. Results depend on latitude, orientation and roof reflectance. Ask us for a project-specific layout and yield report.

FAQ

Is it fastened to the roof?
No. The units rest on support feet on top of the membrane or green roof. Wind load is calculated for each project to confirm whether any ballast is needed.
Does it work on a pitched roof?
No. It is for flat roofs with a slope of 5 degrees or less. For pitched roofs, see Roofit.Solar. See Roofit.Solar →
Can it go on an existing green roof?
Yes. Because the units sit on top of the vegetation layer, they can be added to an existing extensive green roof.
Does it work with standard inverters?
Yes. Inverters are selected and sized the same way as for a conventional system.
Who installs it?
ArcEdge supplies the system and supports your roofer or solar installer with layout, wind load data and training. Electrical connection is done by a licensed electrician.
What do you need to quote a project?
A roof plan or aerial image with one known dimension, the location, roof obstacles and their heights, parapet height, and the roof membrane type.
What is the warranty?
15 years on the product, and at least 80% of rated output after 25 years.
